Aadhar Enrollment Centre
For offline method visit the Aadhar Enrollment Centre which is authorized by the UIDAI to apply for the aadhar card and the person need to carry the identity proof and address proof with himself and if you want to enroll it online then you can easily enroll by using the portal of UIDAI.
Fill the form
Aadhar Enrollment Form is always available at the authorized center an individual is required to fill and submit that form with the cost. If an individual is getting it enroll online then the form can be download from the website of Unique Identification Authority of India, fill up the form and submit it at the enrollment center in order to save the time.
Collect the photograph and Biometric Data
In this method an individual has to provide his photograph and fingerprint scan with all other details after providing all the details it is the duty of the applicant to recheck it and change them if in case any wrong details have been filled.
After the completion of the above procedure, the applicant will receive an acknowledgment slip that works at the place of aadhar card till the time the applicant does not receive the original copy of aadhar card also the acknowledgment slip contains the enrollment number through which the applicant can check the aadhar status online.
The issue of Aadhaar Card
After the verification of the data provided by the applicant the aadhaar card will be issued to the applicant only and the given data will be verified by the Unique Identification Authority of India. If all the provided information is accurate then the aadhar card will be issued to the applicant.

How to get the e-Aadhaar letter
After submission of all the required documents and biometric data it will take up to 90 days or three months to issue the aadhaar card and it will be send to an applicant by the way of the post but if in case an individual need the aadhaar card urgently then the person can download a copy of aadhaar card as e-aadhaar. You need to take the steps given below to get e-Aadhaar:
- First, you need to Visit on the website of UIDAI and click on the section of e-Aadhaar.
- Fill a form by using aadhaar number or the enrollment number.
- Enter the date and time as well it appears on the acknowledgment slip.
- Enter your name
- Pincode of your area
- Entered the registered mobile number
- After providing all the details you can generate an OPT after which you can download the e-Aadhar.
Eligibility criteria for Aadhar Card
A person will get the aadhar card only if he falls in the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for getting the aadhar card is:
- An applicant should be the citizen of India
- If an applicant is a non-resident Indian residing in India
- If an applicant is not a citizen of India but residing in India

Aadhar based direct benefit transfer (LPG Subsidy)
The 12 digit individual identification number is also used for getting the LPG subsidy directly from the bank account and this DBTL scheme is named as “Pahal”. You can receive this benefit by visiting the distributor of your area and then you need to link your aadhar card number on the 17 digit of LPG consumer number.
Jan Dhan Yojana
As the aadhar card is the only document to open the bank account that is why the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) with the help of the aadhar card one can easily avail the benefit of this yojana.
Passport in 10 days
If you have the aadhar card then it will be more easy for you to get the passport, with the help of the aadhar card it just takes 10 days to get your passport, under this format the police verification take place later on also according to the new rule of the government having aadhaar is mandatory to apply for the passport.
A digital locker has been launched by the government of India and the purpose of it is to store all personal documents on the government’s server.

Its mandatory for individual who holds the bank accounts to provide the copy of the Aadhaar to their bank. The copy should be provided before 31st March or 6 months from the opening of the bank account.
