In order to obtain e-Aadhaar go through the steps given below:

  1. Visit on the website of UIDAI
  2. Find the aadhaar service link
  3. Click “Get e-Aadhaar” on the Aadhaar Kiosk page.
  4. You will be redirected to the e-Aadhaar page
  5. Use can use either of the numbers:
    1. Enrollment number ID
      1. If you don’t know your Aadhaar number then you can mention your enrollment number ID and make sure you are having your acknowledgment slip with you.
    2. Aadhaar number
      1. By mentioning your Aadhaar number you can get the copy of your e-Aadhaar card quickly so if you already know it then choose Aadhaar number instead of Enrollment number.
  6. If you are carrying your acknowledgment slip with you then click “Enrollment ID” option at the top of the form.
  7. Your Aadhaar acknowledgment slip contains:
    1. An enrollment ID, and
    2. Mention the date and time of the slip

A 28 digit number is divided in the following:

  • 14 digits number of enrollment ID, and
  • The other 14 digits of date and time of enrollment ID.

  • at 15 minutes and 20 seconds past 6 pm.
  • The 14 digits in the date/time section will be 05/02/2017 18:15:20.
  • This 28 digits under the field of enrollment number.

  6. Your e-Aadhaar will get the download in a form of PDF

How to Validate e-Aadhaar Signature

In order to open the file in the PDF format probably you will need a PDF Adobe Reader or Acrobat Reader after you download your e-Aadhaar. You need to open your e-Aadhaar from the password because it is protected by e-Aadhaar password.

The Signature of UIDAI will appear with the yellow question mark. To open your e-Aadhar and to make it valid you need to digitally verify this signature.

To verify the signature follow the steps given below:

  1. First of all click on the signature
  2. You will see a dialog box which says “the signature validity is unknown”
  3. Click “Signature properties” on the dialog box
  4. Furthersome click “Show Singer’s Certificate” in the next dialog box.
  5. The certificate viewer dialog box will have different tabs.
  6. Choose tab “trust”
  7. Click on “Add to Trusted Certificates”
  8. Another dialog box will warn you about trusting certificates.
  9. Click “Ok”
  10. Import Contact Setting dialog box will appear on your screen
  11. Tick “Use this certificate as a trusted root” and “Certified document”.
  12. Click “Ok”
  13. You will be back to Certificate Viewer.
  14. Click “ok” to confirm your action.
  15. Signature Properties dialog box will appear on the screen.
  16. Click “Validate Signature
  17. Choose the dialog box and then you will notice that document has now green tick in place of the yellow question mark.

Aadhaar details on Mobile

  1. Visit Aadhar Kiosk website
  2. Click “Get Aadhaar” under the mobile section.
  3. Fill details such as:
    1. 28 digits of enrollment number
    2. Mobile number
    3. Security on the form
  4. Generate the OTP (One Time Password)
  5. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number
  6. Enter the OTP on the screen
  7. After verification through OTP, you will receive your Aadhaar details via SMS.
