Different ways to download e-Aadhaar card

By the use of enrollment number

You can download your e-Aadhaar even if you have not received your Aadhaar card or if you have forgotten your Aadhaar card number. You just need to follow the steps given below to download your e-Aadhaar card by enrollment number.

  • First, you need to login www.uidai.gov.in
  • Click “Download Aadhaar”
  • You will be redirected to another page.
  • Enter 14 digit Enrollment ID number and 14 digit number of time and date.
  • In the next step enter your details such as:
    • Your Aadhaar number
    • Full name
    • Pin code of your residential address
    • Captcha image
  • Click on “Get One Time Password”
  • You will receive the password in your registered mobile
  • If you use the mAadhaar app then you will receive an option for TOTP
  • Click “confirm”
  • You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number
  • Enter the OTP on the screen
  • Click on “validate and download”
  • Press “confirm”
  • Your e-Aadhaar will be download in a form of PDF format
  • Enter the password to open the PDF file.
  • Take out the print of your e-Aadhaar

By the use of Aadhaar number

You can go through the steps given below in order to download Aadhaar card online and print your Aadhaar card.

  • Visit the official website of UIDAI
  • Click “download Aadhaar”
  • You will be redirected to another page
  • A new page will open with a pop-up on the display
  • Enter your Aadhaar card password in order to open the PDF of your e-Aadhaar.
  • If you know your Aadhaar number you can select the option “Aadhaar”.
  • In the next step enter your details such as:
    • Your Aadhaar number
    • Full name
    • Pin code of your residential address
    • Captcha image
  • Click on “Get One Time Password”
  • You will receive the password in your registered mobile
  • If you use the mAadhaar app then you will receive an option for TOTP
  • Click “confirm”
  • You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number
  • Enter the OTP on the screen
  • Click on “validate and download”
  • Enter the password
  • Click “submit” in order to open your e-Aadhaar.
  • Your e-Aadhaar will get the download in a form of PDF
  • You need to have “Adobe Reader” in order to open the PDF file.
  • After you receive the e-Aadhaar you can get a print of it or you can save it in a form of soft copy.
  • Copy of e-Aadhaar card is equally valid to Aadhaar card.

By  the use of name and date of birth

You can download your e-Aadhaar card by your name and date of birth even if you have not received your Aadhaar card or if you have forgotten your Aadhaar card number you just have to retrieve your Aadhaar number from the website of UIDAI. Process for the same is given below:

  • Visit the official website of UIDAI to retrieve your lost Enrollment ID or Aadhaar number.
  • Provide the details such as:
    • Name
    • Registered mobile number
    • Email ID
    • Security code
  • Click on “Get One Time Password”
  • You will receive the password in your registered mobile
  • Enter the OTP on the screen
  • Click on “validate and download”
  • Press “confirm”
  • You will receive the Aadhaar enrollment number on your mobile.
  • After receiving the Aadhaar enrollment number visit the page of e-Aadhaar on the official website of UIDAI.
  • Click on ‘I have Enrollment ID”
  • Enter the following details such as:
    • Aadhaar enrollment number
    • Full name
    • Pin code
    • Image Captcha
  • Click “One Time Password”
  • You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number
  • Enter the OTP on the screen
  • Click on “validate and download”
  • Press “confirm”
  • Now you can download your e-Aadhaar

How to get the password of e-Aadhaar Card?

Password for an e-Aadhaar card is made up of 8 characters first four characters contain the first four alphabets of your name in capital letter and the last 4 character have the year of your birth.

For Example

Applicant name is RASHIKA GAUR

Year of birth is 1990

Then the password of e-Aadhaar will be RASH1990
