How to check Aadhaar Status after Update Request?
There are basically two methods by the help of which we can check the status of Aadhaar after update request:
After sending the request for the Aadhaar update online, you would receive an acknowledgment receipt that you could either print or download. It contains URN and SRN. Following are the steps:
Go to the official Aadhaar website: www.uidai.gov.in
You will find a category of “My Aadhaar” update on the home page.
Under the heading of My Aadhaar update, click on “Check Aadhaar update status”
Here, you will find the separate heading of “Update Aadhaar details”. Click on “check update status”.
Now, here enter your Aadhaar number, URN, and SRN. Then, provide the text verification and hit “Get status”.
The status of your Aadhaar update will be displayed on the screen.
On the other hand, if have sent the request for the Aadhaar update at an enrollment center, then the following steps should be followed:
Go to the official website: www.uidai.gov.in.
On the category of Update your Aadhaar, you will find an option “check status- update done at Enrolment Centre/ECMP”. Click on that option.
Provide the 28 digit URN number to get the status of your Aadhaar update. Then, you will be able to see the status.
First and foremost thing to do is visit any Aadhaar Enrollment center or permanent Aadhaar center (PAC). It is not necessary to visit the same center as the one you applied at for the update. All you need to carry the acknowledgment slip and your URN handy. Then, inform the person-in-charge that you wish to know the status of your Aadhaar update at the center. Then, they will enter the data into the system and inform you about the status, whether it approved, in the procedure or rejected.
