Before going to the tracking of Aadhaar update status, first, have a look at the types of categories—
Generally, Aadhaar card updates have been divided into two categories:
- Demographic data
- Biometric data
Once a change request, update, or rectify information on the Aadhaar card has been submitted, the applicant can track the status of it to see if it has been approved, if it’s still in progress or if it has been denied. At the time of the update process, a resident needs to fill out an application form either online or at an enrolment center. As soon as the application is submitted along with supporting documentation to validate the change, an acknowledgment slip and a URN (update request number) will be generated and given to the resident.
♦ What is an acknowledgment slip?
An acknowledgment slip is basically a kind of a receipt given by UIDAI to the applicant. It has all the information related to the Aadhaar card. If you want to check the Aadhaar update status then this slip is required.
